Phoenix Perennials and Specialty Plants is a multi-award-winning, destination retail and mail order nursery offering one of the largest selections of perennials in Canada with over 5000 different garden plants each year, much of which we grow ourselves. We also offer more than 3000 of our plants each year for online ordering and shipping within Canada.

We focus on cutting edge new cultivars, garden stalwarts, and the rare and unusual with a notably deep focus on perennials including hellebores, hardy ground orchids, native plants and nativars, pollinator plants, water wise plants, ground covers, and shade plants plus succulents, rare bulbs, hardy subtropicals, and rare and unusual edibles. We also carry a diverse and unique selection of vines, shrubs, trees, grasses, ferns, houseplants, and much more.

Phoenix Perennials was started by plantsman Gary Lewis in 2004 when he acquired a small specialty perennial nursery from local garden designer Clare Philips who shared Gary’s passion for perennials. Over the years Gary has expanded the nursery and its selection of plants making Phoenix Perennials a destination nursery in western Canada and, with the launch of mail order shipping in 2013, a mecca for choice garden plants for gardeners across the country.
