Blue stars are North American natives with handsome glossy foliage and star-shaped blue flowers. Amsonia ‘Blue Ice’ is one of the most beautiful flower forms with clusters of plump dark, navy blue buds opening to lighter, vivid periwinkle blue star-shaped flowers.
