Hydrangea paniculata ‘Grandiflora’ – Standard/Tree Form
Hydrangea paniculata 'Grandiflora', also known as the 'PeeGee' hydrangea, is the original, old-fashioned big cultivar.
Hydrangea paniculata ‘Grandiflora’, also known as the ‘PeeGee’ hydrangea, is the original, old-fashioned cultivar offering size and presence in the garden. Plants can grow into small trees 10-15 feet high covered in 18 inch long cones of mostly sterile florets that emerge creamy white and age to pink. Or it can be pruned to keep to size. Excellent for drier areas. Don’t forget to cut some for a dried flower display in autumn. Paniculatas are super hardy, bloom on new wood, are fragrant, and make good dried flowers.
