Liatris spicata ‘Alba’ is a Blazing Star prized for its highly ornamental, tall white flower spikes that bloom in succession from mid to late summer. The finely textured, grassy green foliage provides a nice textural contrast that takes on rich, bronze hues in fall. Growth habit is 24 to 36 inches tall with a 12 to 24 inch spread. Drought tolerant once established. Great vertical and textural appeal in the cottage garden, at the mid to back of the sunny border and as cut and dried flower bouquets. A food source for over-wintering birds. Hummingbird and pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
