Rhododendron ‘Holden’ features large, lightly fragrant, soft red funnel-shaped flowers flushed with pink with dark red flecked throats held in rounded trusses. Llarge long, glossy, dark-green foliage provides for beautiful contrast. Upright and spreading reaching 6 feet tall and wide. Responds well to pruning after flowering. Benefits from evenly moist, well-drained, slightly acidic-based soil and mulch. Use as an informal privacy hedge, accent, foundation, mass planting and for winter interest. Attracts bees and bumblebees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
