Selenicereus (syn. Hylocereus) ‘Edgar’s Baby’ is a highly prized dragon fruit hybrid valued for its green skin with bright green scales and the magenta-red interior fruit which is sweet and tasty filled with crunchy black seeds. The fruit is produced from gorgeous, white, fragrant, night-blooming flowers. Plants are self-fertile though hand pollination is recommended. Also pollination by another cultivar may increase fruit set. The fruit is oblong and about 0.75-1 pound each. A cool houseplant with the potential for delicious edible fruit. A hybrid between S. stenopterus and S. guatemalensis. The photo is a generic image of dragon fruit and does not depict this cultivar. Photo: Wikipedia
