Viburnum opulus ‘Ukraine’ is highly valued as an edible and medicinal plant in Europe and Asia but it also makes a beautiful ornamental. In the spring it bears large clusters of white flowers followed in the fall by very attractive bright red translucent berries and striking red foliage. After frosts have removed the bitterness of the berries they can be picked for preserves and baking.
