Description
Clematis viticella ‘Emilia Plater’ has lovely four-petaled, four inch wide pale lavender blue flowers that can look iridescent in soft morning light. It is a member of the Viticella Group which were the first clematis grown in English gardens beginning in the 1500s. They bloom from July to September and are hardy to zone 3. Tolerant of part shade. Pruning group C – hard prune in early spring to about one foot from the ground.
